London’s iconic Battersea Power Station pays tribute to Pink Floyd’s Animals album. This was the second piece of work created this year following on from my tribute to the Woolworth Building. Battersea was typed using a 1920s Underwood No. 5 and a 1963 Olympia SG3 (in red ink), featuring the famous inflatable pig balloon in both black and red typewriter ink. It’s a second edition, limited to 200 prints. The artwork measures 42cm x 29.7cm (A3)
A recurring theme in my work is how one project often leads to another. After completing the Battersea Power Station piece, the team behind the Lift 109 observation deck saw my work on Instagram and invited me to create an on-location artwork from the top of one of the station’s chimneys. This additional artwork is also now available online with my online shop.
