This piece is my second 360-degree anamorphic globe-like projection, following my work at Maldon’s Moot Hall. Created in collaboration with The Royal Albert Hall, it has become their most-watched video on Instagram, garnering nearly 20 million views. The artwork measures 60cm x 60cm and took a total of 300 hours to complete, featuring 450,000 to 500,000 letters, numbers, and punctuation marks. The artwork was typed on-location from the stage of the Royal Albert Hall using a portable Olympia SM4 De luxe Typewriter in Vintage Burgundy Red, colour-matched to the dark red tones of the auditoriums décor.
Inspired by Peter Blake’s mural at the venue, my piece includes a collage of notable performers’ names, cleverly concealed for viewers to discover. This is a second edition limited to 200 prints.
