In April of this year, I visited New York for the first time on a family holiday to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. Though I intended to relax and enjoy the sights, I couldn’t resist bringing along my portable blue Silver Reed typewriter as hand luggage in my backpack. While I didn’t get the time to type on-location, the trip sparked an interest in creating a piece featuring the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.
After returning home, I posted a poll on Instagram, and many voted for me to take on this subject. Concealed within the artwork are hidden references to the bridge's rich history and its construction. The artwork measures 42cm x 29.7cm (A3) and is a first edition, limited to 200 prints.
