The Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s most iconic and celebrated music venues. Typewriter Artist James Cook used a 1950's Smith - Corona Secretarial typewriter to create this artwork over a period of two weeks in February, 2023. This particular artwork receiving 10.9 million views on Instagram and it was the stepping stone for James to work in collaboration with the Royal Albert Hall and create a large artwork of the venue in the summer of 2023.
This particular artwork features concealed typed messages of the names of iconic musicians and public figures that have performed at the venue over its 153-year history. Each drawing is appended with a certificate of authenticity.
